of Women Voters is a dynamic force for change: In the U.S.A.? In Colorado?

The LWV
is a non-partisan political organization that influences public policy
through education and advocacy.
The LWV
neither supports nor opposes candidates or political
parties. It does take action on selected governmental
issues, but only after study and consensus by League members. Action
is implemented by informational publications, programs, position statements
and lobbying.

Information
Membership
in the League of Women Voters is open to all citizens of voting age,
both women and men. Associate membership is open to non-citizens and
to young people under 18.

HOW THE LWV WORKS:
The League
of Women Voters encourages informed and active participation in government
and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
The
organization is nonpartisan . . .
- The
LWV neither supports nor opposes candidates or political parties.

League advocates on issues that members have studied and on which
they have reached consensus.
- Action
is implemented by informational publications and programs, position
statements and lobbying.
Making
voting easier through voter education programs . . .
- Pros
and Cons: This easy-to-read guide explains state ballot measures.
- Candidate
Forums: Invite all candidates running for local/state/national office
to appear in Forums. Each candidate responds to questions posed by
League
members.
- Ballot
Issue Talks: Members of the League will go to a limited number of
meetings of groups to explain current ballot issues.
- The
Voters' Guide and Directory gives addresses and phone numbers of elected
officials.
