The format for this Community Conversation is small group discussion regarding the pros and cons of Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) and could it work in Pueblo elections. In 2023 RCV was implemented in Colorado for non-partisan, municipal elections. The LWV of Pueblo seeks to educate voters on the various methods of RCV.

Dr. Kathleen "Kate" Gibson is a research and teaching immunotoxicology scientist. Her studies with a focus on the effects of exposure to environmental pollutants led to an invitation as an inaugural member of the EPA‘s Scientific Advisory Committee on Chemicals. Her talk will address the EPA‘s regulatory responsibilities and the recent political eliminations of those responsibilities. She will help us to answer what responses the public can take to reverse these actions.
Kate is a member of the LWVLarimer County‘s Environmental Team.
